Robert Liberty

Wednesday, September 26: Robert Liberty Discusses Cool Communities, in Oregon and Around the World

The world is experiencing urbanization and industrialization on a scale never previously experienced. Just as happened in the US and Europe this is raising living standards dramatically while also increasing damage to the environmental systems that support human life.

Recent research and thinking are describing new risks to our global environment as well as demonstrating how our cities can be made more sustainable. Join former 1000 Friends of Oregon Executive Director Robert Liberty for one of two events discussing the challenges and opportunities for creating sustainable cities, and touch upon what Oregon can contribute to, and learn from, these efforts:

Happy Hour at the Summit Saloon

Both events are free and open to the public. To RSVP, please contact Pam Hardy at pam@friends.org or (541) 719-8221.
