The Bus Project is calling for nominees and attendees to participate in their biennial conference, Rebooting Democracy taking place in Bend, March 26-28, 2010. Oregon Rural Action has been invited to attend and to help round people up who would be a good fit for participation.

Rebooting Democracy is the Bus Project’s leadership and policy summit. Over the course of two days, young leaders from throughout the state will set a political agenda for 2010-11, craft a slate of innovative policies for the next decade and build a base of people-power to help make it all happen.

Nominations are currently being accepted for emerging leaders across the state to attend the conference.

You can use the online nomination form to nominate yourself or others for participation in Rebooting Democracy. Here are the kinds of people the Bus Project is looking for:

* ages 15 - 35 (though the 'young at heart' are welcome as well)
* passion for social justice, the environment, politics, the economy, health care, or some other issue relevant to your community
* leader in community service, volunteering, student activities, non-profit, church, political organizing, etc.
* and/or interest in being a positive force in the world

Once you've nominated someone, the Bus Project will will follow up with them via phone and email, but it wouldn't hurt for you to let them know yourself.
