Looking for Ghosts in Southeast Portland: Our New Field Trips Kick Off June 25

Fact: There are ghosts in Portland. Not the supernatural kind. Ghost freeways, never-built highways like the Mount Hood Freeway that once threatened whole neighborhoods. On June 25, we kick off our Loving Oregon Summer Field Trips with a walking tour to see what remains and what was avoided. Come ghost hunt with us. Space is limited! RSVP here.

Finding One Oregon in Bend

We had a terrific time at The Environmental Center in Bend last month, having a frank discussion about Oregon's urban-rural divide and the threads that transcend it. Thank you to everyone who came and spoke up, and to our facilitators, Ethan Seltzer and Michael Hibbard. This was a Conversation Project event sponsored by Oregon Humanities—learn more about this innovative program.
