Setting the Table: Great & Growing

What will you put on your Thanksgiving table? Odds are, a good number of things came from Oregon farms: the grains, the cranberries and onions and carrots, the wine or beer, maybe even the turkey.

This month we are celebrating and giving thanks for all Oregon agriculture does for our state. Our new report highlights the far-reaching impacts of Oregon agriculture. And as you'll find out, it means a lot more than good food and beautiful vistas. Get ready to discover the agri-cluster.

Also in this month's Oregon Stories:

We raise our glasses to you, our friends and supporters. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at 1000 Friends!

Great & Growing: People and Jobs in Oregon's Agri-Cluster

Farming means more to Oregon than delicious food and beautiful landscapes. It's an economic engine for our whole state. In a new report, 1000 Friends explores the many impacts of Oregon agriculture--for jobs, communities, and our state's future. Read it here.

Farm Profile: Winter's Hill Vineyard

Managing a small vineyard and winery is a challenging task, but the rewards of rising above the fog each day are immeasurable. That's the lesson we learned when we paid a visit to the Gladhart family at Winter's Hill back in September. Meet them and learn what they love most about making wine in Oregon.

Celebrating Oregon Agriculture, in Two Minutes and Thirty Seconds

There are many stories to tell about Oregon farming, but sometimes you want it fast, with a fun soundtrack. Here's a favorite from earlier this year: our Field to Fork animation celebrating Oregon farming. Take another look and pass it along this Thanksgiving!
