On a rainy Friday afternoon January 20, participants in 1000 Friends’ 2012 Land Use Leadership Initiative journeyed to Portland from across the state to meet as a group for the very first time. The emerging leaders and advisors of our inaugural class shared their own Oregon stories with each other and reflected on all the reasons motivating them to work and advocate to create and preserve what we love about Oregon.

U.S. Ninth Circuit Court Upholds Measure 49

In an important move protecting the intentions of Oregon voters, the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld the constitutionality of Measure 49, the 2007 ballot referendum that reversed the worst excesses of 2004’s Measure 37.
