The Jackson County Board of Commissioners holds a public hearing on the proposed Regional Problem Solving plan, which will guide growth in the Rogue Valley for decades to come. This hearing will discuss general issues related to the plan, as well as Chapters 1, 2, 3, and 5.

Rogue Valley Transit District Presentation of Findings

The Rogue Valley Transit District is conducting an assessment to determine whether the service boundaries are appropriate for the next 20 or so years. The district faces unique challenges as it serves six cities and an unincorporated urban community, all separated by vast rural areas. Our Southern Oregon Advocate served on the committee conducting this assessment--the outcome of which will have significant impacts on the effectiveness of transit in the valley for decades.

An open house to present the findings of the Committee.

Jackson County Planning Commission to Consider Medford Urban Reserves

The Jackson County Planning Commission meets tonight, Thursday, January 27, to hear from citizens about the proposed urban reserves for Medford, part of the county's ongoing Regional Problem Solving long-term planning process. The reserves will direct potential UGB expansion for the next 50 years in the Bear Creek Valley.

The meeting will be held at 6:00pm in the Auditorium of the Jackson County Offices, 10 South Oakdale Avenue in Medford.
